Lawson is located in historic Waxhaw, just south of Charlotte, NC.  Nestled in a beautiful setting of old hardwoods, Lawson is comprised of 558 acres, with over

1/3 of the acreage devoted to common lands, including the preservation of the magnificent 150 year old oak tree, known as the "Heritage Oak".  Named after 

naturalist John Lawson, many of the street names were actually inspired by his 1709 first folio edition of "A New Voyage to Carolina".  Established in 2006, Lawson

has miles of walking trails, tennis courts, and beautiful amenities, including the Millhouse, fitness center and swim complex.
